Description
This piece was suggested by a student in a workshop, who had just played Viva Italia, an arrangement by Loreta Fin, based on the famous Neapolitan Tarantella. It is a good opportunity to work on hooked bow strokes, as well as slurs, rests, pauses and compound time. Students often call orchestral works “songs”, which is not quite correct, if there are no lyrics. Here, there is spoken text, which occurs throughout the piece, and concludes with the contentious issue of whether or not pineapple should be on a pizza. Lots of fun for all ages.
