Description

This piece, in simple triple time, is designed to teach students to plan their bow speeds. Fast and slow bow speeds are alternated here. It is also useful for reinforcing slurs and the first two finger patters used in string playing. It uses an attractive melodic line, which is shared around the ensemble. Tremolo and pizzicato also feature. The piano part is not essential, but adds harmonic interest.
